This is an outfit of my own that I dressed my friend Zara in. I wanted to show how layering really can transform a look physically as well as providing the extra warmth you need this time of year.
Here I have used my grey Miss Selfridge peplem dress as the base of my outfit, overlaying a contrasting RiverIsland pussy bow blouse and a black sequin Primark Gilet that she has worn back to front.
This outfit is all about emphasising features of the body, and my white leather belt from Topshop provides the perfect colour contrast to focus the waist.
I added a vintage princess seam jacket to give the look a splash of colour and quirkiness, and then finished it off by accessorising with a black knitted hat from Newlook, oversized bangle from Oasis, mis-matched knee length socks from primark and a grey leather bag from Miss Selfridge.
Layers and texture are key for this winter season.
