Nigh time glam- Winter
21st November 2010
When putting an outfit together I usually depend on a bright colour or a blend of earthy tonesl but on this occasion I tried something different. My look is delicate; based around pastel tones and a subtle floral print.
My white denim bandeau is from Topshop. I bought it in the last sale for £18, which was lucky considering it had previously sold out.
As a fitted silhouette I chose to layer various wooden beads around my neck to create layering and detailing to cover up my chest; and to make the outfit more down to earth. The colour tone of the beads (from primark) works brilliantly with my tan leather heels, also from Primark; balancing out the pale pastels with a heavier contrast that still worked well and emphasise my chestnut hair colour.
It is important when wearing pale colours that you break up the colours with a contrasting element, usually a darker and more rich colour. This way the colours will compliment eachother rather than washing you out.
Overall, this girly look has worked well, giving a very girl next door feel x
