This outfit combines hard and soft layers. I opted for Topshop Leather trousers (£38) to give my look a very rock chic vibe; but then constrasted this with a softly embellished crop vest from Tosphop ( Bought in the sale for £15).
The two compliment eachother as the beading and loose fit of the top adds the femininity that has been lost by the trousers and mixes the two looks together nicely.
This has been finished off with an oversized envelope clutch bought for £10 at Camden Market (the best place on earth for finding something different... very reccomended!), Primark cream waistbelt bought for £3 and Miss KG lace ankle boots for added glamour and effect.
This overall look is a perfect example of how two different seasonal trends can be incorporated into one outfit. Sometimes you need to pushthe boundaries and blend these characteristics so that you are not seen to be directly imitating the trends; but intead you are using them to create your own style and personality through what you wear.
Tip: Topshop have just added more sale lines that include lots of crop vests so get yourself down to your nearest store and grab yourself a bargain x
